Seminar on Promising Future Technologies and Sustainable Plastic Recycling Inspires IPE Students at EUB

The Department of Industrial and Production Engineering (IPE), in collaboration with the Institutional Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), European University of Bangladesh (EUB), successfully organized a seminar titled “Promising Future Technologies and Sustainable Plastic Recycling in Bangladesh” on August 21, 2026, at 2:50 PM in Room 723.

The seminar was held in the gracious presence of the Vice-Chancellor of the European University of Bangladesh, along with the Chairmen of various departments, Heads of different academic and administrative units, faculty members, university officials, staff, and a large number of students.

The keynote speaker of the seminar was Professor Jin Kuk Kim, Ph.D., Emeritus Professor of Polymer Science and Engineering, School of Nano and Advanced Materials, Gyeongsang National University, South Korea. Professor Kim delivered an insightful presentation on emerging future technologies and sustainable plastic recycling, emphasizing innovative polymer science, advanced materials, and environmentally friendly recycling strategies suitable for Bangladesh.

The interactive session provided participants with valuable knowledge on current global technological trends, sustainable industrial practices, and practical approaches to addressing plastic waste management challenges. The seminar concluded with an engaging discussion and question-and-answer session, inspiring students and faculty members to contribute towards a greener, more sustainable, and technologically advanced future for Bangladesh.
