The Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE), European University of Bangladesh (EUB), organized an educational visit to Basic Power Engineering Ltd. and Basic Professional Training Institute (BPTI) on 05 October 2026.

A total of 39 students participated in the visit, accompanied by five faculty members of the Department of EEE: Md. Asaduzzaman Sarker, Assistant Professor; Marwan Hossain, Lecturer; Nahin Ahamed, Lecturer; Zahirul Islam, Lecturer; and Fakhrul Haque Fahim, Lecturer.

The primary objective of the visit was to provide students with practical exposure to switchgear operation and maintenance, electrical protection and control, power-system equipment, and industrial electrical practices, thereby complementing their theoretical knowledge with practical experience.

During the visit, the Principal of BPTI, Mr. Pradip Kumar Paul, along with his colleagues, welcomed the EUB delegation and provided the students with an overview of the factory's working processes and industrial operations. The students had the opportunity to observe various practical aspects of electrical and power engineering in an industrial environment and gain insights into professional practices beyond the classroom.

Following the factory visit, the students and faculty members participated in an interactive session that included ball-throwing activities, a raffle draw, and other recreational activities. The session provided an opportunity for students and faculty members to interact in an informal setting and further strengthened the sense of engagement and camaraderie among the participants.

The Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, EUB, expresses its sincere appreciation to the authorities of Basic Power Engineering Ltd. and BPTI, particularly Mr. Pradip Kumar Paul and his colleagues, for their hospitality, guidance, and cooperation in making the educational visit a meaningful learning experience for the students.
